SANDY — Dorothy Maher Bazz, "Sweet Irish Rose," 89, died May 30. Bazz was born Oct. 10, 1916, in Salt Lake City to Frank and Marguerite Leahy Maher. Her family was her life. She loved golfing, bowling, and the dollar slots. She was a long time resident of Christus St. Joseph Villa. She gave as much as she received and refused to give up her pink lady status. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Sonny) Tangaro, Gini (John) Bazz Huley; son, Richard (Beverly) Bazz; grandchildren, Jeremy, Joel, Cara (Joe), Brooke, Patrick, Sean, and Rachel; great-granddaughter, Stella; sister, Joan (Harold) Schelderup; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
