ST. GEORGE — Approximately 200 people attended the Fourth Annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Prayer Service at Saint George Parish in Saint George Nov. 25.

Fr. Gustavo Vidal, pastor of Saint George Parish, and Father Eleazar Silva, parochial vicar, hosted five ministers and members from their respective churches. They were Jimi Kestin from Solomon’s Porch, Dean Heuring from St. George Community Church, Mrs. Shane Willis from Harvest Christian Assembly, Bob Maehre from Red Cliffs Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and Bernie Larson from New Covenant Christian Center.

Fr. Vidal welcomed the congregation and offered a prayer of thanksgiving. Each pastor shared his thanksgiving testimony. Pastor Heuring read Psmal 100, a Psalm of Thanksgiving.

The congregation donated food and the pastors carried the baskets of food to the altar. The food will be given to Care and Share, an organization in Saint George that helps people in need.

Fr. Silva concluded the service with a prayer of thanksgiving and benediction.

The congregation was invited to the Father Kuzy Catholic Social Hall for coffee and cookies after the service.
