Edward Franklin Terrill

July 30, 1935 ~ June 19, 2023

Edward left us to be with his high school sweetheart, Betty. Our sweet father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away on June 19, 2023, after a short illness. He was born July 30, 1935 to Frank and Sybil Terrill. He graduated from West High School in 1955. He attended the University of Utah.   He married Elizabeth Terrill “Betty,” his high school sweetheart and love of his life, on January 11, 1957. They were together for 62 years. They adopted two children, had nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one great-grandchild on the way. He was a member of Saint Olaf Catholic Church. He worked at Peterson Company for 40+ years.

Ed loved to golf and was a member of the Alpine Country Club for most of his life. He golfed every Saturday with many friends. Jerry Poloskey was one of those friends, and they remained friends until the end. He was an avid Utah Jazz fan who loved going to games every year. Ed loved his family and enjoyed it when they would come to visit. He was an animal lover and enjoyed it when the family would bring their dogs over to visit. His favorite singer was Frank Sinatra and he loved listening to him with everyone.

He is survived by his daughter Shauna Roberts (Tim); son David (Kelly); grandchildren Maleah (Jake), Korbin (Michelle), Gabriel, Jon-David (Kennedy), Abby, Joseph, Noah, Grace and Madeline and great-granddaughter Hazel. Preceded in death by his mother Sybil, stepfather Grant, father Frank and sister Gwen.

The family wants to thank all of the staff at Beacon Crest Senior Living and Inspiration Home Health and Hospice and all of the new friends he met while living there. Thank you to Jerry Poloskey for coming to visit him every week. Thank you, everyone, for all the care and love you extended to Ed.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on June 26, 2023 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, Draper.  Interment followed at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
