Elisabeth Valdez, 93, passed away January 19, 2022, in Ogden.  She was born July 16, 1928, to Johannes Dorsam and Rosel Basel in Dieburg, Germany.

Elisabeth lived in Germany, Texas and Utah.  She married Julio R. Valdez, CSM, on September 19, 1948, in Dieburg, Germany. They enjoyed 29 years together before Julio’s passing on September 27, 1977.  She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed homemaking, crocheting and gardening.

Elisabeth is survived by her children John, Anne, Gregory and Michael, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother.

The family would like to thank her nurse Bailey, CNA Kylie, social worker Michelle, as well as the staff of Symbii, Pine View Rehab, Ogden Clinic and Ogden Regional for the care they gave to Elisabeth.

A funeral Mass was celebrated February 3 at St. James the Just Catholic Church.  Interment will be at a later date in Ogden City Cemetery.
