HELPER - Erminia Rojas, 87, died Jan. 22, 2010 at her son's home in Orangeville.
Rojas was born Sept. 29, 1947, in Salt Lake City to Tiburcio and Annacleta Alacalan Martinez. She married Alvero Rojas Sept. 29, 1947. She worked at Greenwell Motel for many years and later at the Carbon and Castleview hospitals, where she cared for patients and individuals needing comfort and a sympathetic hand to hold. She later worked as a greeter at Walmart. Her favorite place to work was for Dr. O. W. and Terry Phelps. She loved gardening, fishing, sewing and embroidering.
She is survived by her husband, Alvero Rojas; children, Teresa Elizabeth (Joe) Jacquez; Elisa Margaret (Jerome) Pehler, Dolly (Richard) Martinez, Robert Anthony (Zelda) Rojas; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sister, Andrea Martinez.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Committal was in Mt. View Cemetery.
