Harold J. De Vargas

SALT LAKE CITY — Harold J. De Vargas, 57, died June 5, at his home of a heart attack.

De Vargas was born July 11, 1951, in Cortez, Colo., to Joe Isais and Marvine de Vargas. He worked at Kennecott Copper and took an early retirement in 1983, due to his health. He was very handy and learned all of his father’s trades. He was a designer, painter, tile setter, plumber, and did repairs and remodeling. He passed these trades on to his son. He also loved to landscape, loved music, and to play his guitar.

He is survived by his mother, Marvine; wife, Marie; daughter, Lisa; son, Brandon; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Ann Catholic Church. Internment was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
