Hundreds Attend Charismatic Retreat

More than 500 Spanish-speaking Utah Catholics gathered March 1-2 at the Skaggs Catholic Center to celebrate the tenth Charismatic Lenten Encounter, titled “In the Cross You Have Redeemed Us, Lord.”

More than 500 Spanish-speaking Utah Catholics gathered March 1-2 at the Skaggs Catholic Center to celebrate the tenth Charismatic Lenten Encounter, titled “In the Cross You Have Redeemed Us, Lord.” Through a variety of presentations, worship, the Sacrament of Confession and Mass, attendees “found peace in their hearts knowing that Christ has redeemed us, and we can keep on walking in the path to our salvation,” said Fr. Jorge Roldan, the Utah Charismatic group’s spiritual director; he also is pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.
