SALT LAKE CITY — Ida Stonda Brunatti, 101, passed away Sept. 8, 2012. Brunatti was born March 18, 1911 to Joseph and Clara Stonda. She married Renaldo J. Brunatti on April 22, 1933 in the Cathedral of the Madeleine and received an Apostolic Blessing from Pope John Paul II on their 50th wedding anniversary. She also received an Apostolic Blessing from Pope Benedict XVI on her 100th birthday. Brunatti was a volunteer for Catholic Community Services for 60 years and a was member of Saint Ann Parish since 1946. She served on numerous committees such as the Italian-American Civic League, the Salt Lake Council of Women and the Catholic Woman’s League. Brunatti is survived by sons Dennis R. Brunatti and Reynold J. (Gayle) Brunatti; son-in-law Dean Butler; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and sister Rita Banchero. Brunatti was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Rita Butler. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Ann Catholic Church.
