In the 2022 Catholic Press Awards given by the Catholic Media Association, the “Intermountain Catholic” earned three awards. Jean Hill took second place in the Best Regular Column category. In the Spanish language competition, Laura Vallejo took third place in Best Feature Writing and honorable mention in Best Photograph – Feature Photo. All three of these categories were open to all entries regardless of the publication’s circulation, so Hill and Vallejo competed against journalists at national publications. They are shown with Bishop Oscar A. Solis, publisher of the “Intermountain Catholic.”
