Ismael (Smiles) Rougle

March 20, 1946 ~ January 7, 2021

Smiles, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 7, 2021 in Salt Lake City. He was the husband of Nancy Rougle; they shared over 50 years together.

Born in Helena, Montana, he was the son of Louis Rouge and Felina Gurule. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and later retired from the Utah National Guard.

Smiles is survived by his wife Nancy, son David (Courtney), eight grandchildren, two nephews and several nieces. Preceded in death by his son SSG Larry Rougle, mother Felina and father Louis.

Graveside services for Smiles were held January 13 at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
