SALT LAKE CITY — Joe Cruz Gutierrez, 82, passed away on April 11, 2012.

Gutierrez was born May 3, 1929 in Los Martinitos, N.M. to Francisco and Concepcion Beltran Gutierrez. He married Mary Salazar on Oct. 15, 1948.

Gutierrez was preceded in death by grandson, Ray Trujillo, one brother and five sisters.

Gutierrez is survived by wife, Mary; children, Chelise (Dan) Pannunzio, Sue de la Cruz, Jim (Gail) Gutierrez, Jenise (Ashwani) Oberoi, and Jason (Lori) Gutierrez; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and brother, Domingo Gutierrez.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
