SALT LAKE CITY — John C. Roberts, Jr., 50, died Nov. 13. Roberts was born Aug. 11, 1956, in Burlingame, Calif., to John Chalmers Roberts and Frances Ann Boitano Roberts. He graduated from Judge Memorial Catholic High School. He worked for and retired from the Bureau of Reclamation. His sister, Kathleen, surprised him with a trip in August for his 50th birthday to see the love of his life, Olivia Newton John. He had many crosses to bear in his life and he did so with a good nature and without complaining. Roberts is survived by his sister Kathleen Roberts (Frank) Leonard; niece, Hilary Joan Leonard; nephews, Frank Leonard, Jr. and his fiancé Sarah Wright, and John Leonard. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
