John Louis Hauber

October 22, 1933 ~ February 2, 2025

On February 2, 2025, John Louis Hauber passed away at the age of 91 in Olathe, Kansas.

John was born on October 22, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was raised in Kansas City, was a graduate from the University of Kansas and went on to serve in the Navy.

He was married to his wonderful wife in 1962, and they spent their first 20 years together in Kansas and Missouri. In 1983, after discovering a love for the mountains, he moved with his wife and younger children to Utah and resided in that area, where he was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish for 40 years. John lived a life rich in love, family, friends and faith.

John was preceded in death by his parents John and Josephine Hauber, and his brother Robert Hauber. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce, and their children Mary (Petty), John, Matthew, Paul, Mark, Sarah (Molen) and Luke. John’s legacy of love and wisdom lives on through his 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on February 7, 2025 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, Olathe, Kansas. Burial service followed at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
