SALT LAKE CITY — John S. Price, 90, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2011. Born Jan. 6, 1921 in St. Anthony, Idaho, the son of Charles F. and Catherine Campbell Price, he married Peggy Meagher Oct. 5, 1949 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. She died in 1993. He married Marilyn Early in 1994. Price graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was a bombardier on a B24 serving in World War II, he received recognition for meritorious achievement in aerial flight and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and four air medals. He was involved in numerous community activities, helping to raise funds and he supported many worthy causes. He was a member of St. Ambrose Parish, St. Vincent de Paul Parish, member and past president of The Country Club, member of the Cottonwood Club, in Salt Lake City and Thunderbird Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Marilyn Early Price; his children and their spouses: Steven J. Price, (Jody), William J. Price, Patty P. Brimley (Michael), foster daughter Maria Jenei, three granddaughters, Sandra, Emily and Laurel Price and two grandsons, Tyler and Justin Brimley, all of Salt Lake City. Also survived by his step-children and their spouses: Christine E. Allred, Deborah E. Davis, Saundra E. Stone (Bill) and Michael C. Early (Ella). Funeral services were held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
