PRICE — Katarina M. Tallerico, died at the age of 92 in Price on March 15, 2016.
Kaye was the ninth of 10 children born to Salvator and Teresina Cortes Mangone on Oct. 15, 1923 in McCloud, Calif. She married the love of her life, Sam Tallerico, Jr., on Jan. 27, 1946 in McCloud, Calif.; he preceded her in death on April 13, 2006.
Kaye was active in and a staunch supporter of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, where she was the Catholic Woman of the Year in 1995. She was also the head of the funeral dinner committee, sold raffle tickets, worked Bingo and staffed the food line with her family for all church activities. Kaye never missed any church functions, and she was there day and night to help with anything.
She was active in many social and civic organizations such as the Price Ladies of Elk’s, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, BPW Organization and in many fundraisers throughout the community. Her hobbies included crocheting, baking, playing bingo, going to Wendover and, of course, keeping her family in line.
Kaye is survived by two daughters and one son: Terry Snyder and Toni Fugate, both of Price, and Sam Tallerico III of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister Mary Pellegrino of McCloud, Calif.; six wonderful granddaughters, five amazing great-grandchildren, loving nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Jody Snyder, sons-in-law Vance Fugate and George Snyder, two brothers and six sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff of Pinnacle Nursing, especially Roxanne, her adopted daughter and friend, Dr. Gagon and Dr. Potter for the wonderful care she received. Also a special thanks to Mitchell Mortuary and all our relatives and friends for their loving support at our time of need.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price.
