Knights Donate to Special Olympics

David Matyjasik, State Special Olympics chairman for the Utah Knights of Columbus (right) and Frank Carmona, Utah State secretary, present a check for $10,676.40 to Tony Smith, a Special Olympics Utah Board member, during the opening of the 2023 Summer Games at Granger High School on June 9. Over the past 15 years, the Knights have raised $173,000 for the Utah Special Olympics, and all the money stays in the state to support local athletes, Matyjasik said. Seated at left is Michelle Wolfenbarger, chairwoman of the Special Olympics Utah Board of Directors.
