I am grateful to the Knights of Columbus who honored our priests, deacons and religious of the diocese with a wonderful dinner last week. The dinner had a good turnout and the meal was quite delicious. These events are marvelous opportunities to say “thank you” to our clergy and religious who work so hard to bring Christ’s message of peace and love to our people. During the course of the meal, Chuck Dover gave me a sizeable check for the homeless and hungry in our midst. The bulk of their gift will go to Catholic Community Services, with several smaller gifts to food pantries throughout diocese. Thank you, Knights, once again!
