Lee Clint Brown was born May 13, 1930 in Wagner, Oklahoma to Nelson Clint Brown and Mennie Lee Brown. He passed on December 21, 2024.
He met Jeannie Reese in early 1957. They were married in 1958. Lee had one son, Ronald Dale Brown, by a previous marriage and Jeannie had two sons by a previous marriage, David James Reese and Daniel Lee Reese. They had one son, Russell Wayne Brown. David died in 1968 of a rare disease and Russell died in October 2024 of lung cancer. Lee and Jeannie have seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Lee served four years in the U.S. Navy at a submarine base in Hawaii, from 1948 to 1952. Lee was a professional truck driver and worked for IML Freight for 32 years until the union called a strike in 1984 and put the company out of business. He lacked two months of being old enough to retire. He bought his own truck and continued as an owner/operator until the year 2000, when he retired.
Lee and Jeannie wanted to have two deer-hunting horses, which grew to be 13 head of beautiful Arabian show horses. Together, they bred, raised, trained and showed their horses, at which they were very successful. Lee especially enjoyed outside activities with the family, camping, fishing and sports. Lee enjoyed their back yard and the many long-haired Chihuahuas they had over the past 56 years. He also enjoyed feeding and watching the wild birds and squirrels.
Lee was recently baptized into the Catholic Church, made his first Holy Communion and was confirmed. He found God and a new peace.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on January 3, 2025 at Saint Vincent de Paul Church. Interment was January 4 at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
