Lois Beth Heart

October 27, 1946 ~ January 12, 2021

Lois Heart of South Jordan passed away on January 12, 2021 at the age of “29.”

Lois loved a game of cards, puzzles and a bowl of ice cream. She traveled the world with her husband of 39 years. Her greatest love was raising her children and grandchildren. She conquered the outdoors: hiking, skiing, gardening, fishing and waterskiing. She was fearless. One of her greatest attributes was she had the ability to talk to everyone and come away with a friend. She believed in lending a hand whenever she could and volunteering in the community. Lois loved helping the community so much that she donated her body to the University of Utah Medical Center for education.  

Survivors include her husband Lee Heart and two children, Jill (Jody) Sanchez and Kurt (Christina) Schmidt; grandchildren Gates Sanchez, Sage (Levi) Little, Joshua Schmidt, Allie (Raphael) Costa and Madison Schmidt; siblings Sr. Annette Winter, Mary Jean Kruse, Glenn Winter, Margie (Ralph) Pauly, Pat (Debbie) Winter.

Preceded in death by her parents Edwin “Newt” Winter and Marie Grassl Winter; Colleen White, Elaine (Paul) Duke, Mike Kruse and Barb Winter.

A rosary and memorial service was held January 15, 2021. In lieu of flowers, Lois would want you to go out and volunteer, spend quality time with your family and pay it forward.
