PARK CITY — Maria Martha "Nana" Phillipp, 75, died Dec. 24. Phillipp was born to Patrick and Kathleen Flynn in Dublin, Ireland. She immigrated to the United States in the early 1960s. She married Paul Phillipp in 1964 in Salt Lake City. They spent 42 years together. Although she missed her homeland, she loved the diversity of Utah and was happy to call it home. Phillipp loved to spend time with her grandchildren, husband, daughter, and many friends. She was a long time member of the Hibernian Society of Utah and enjoyed all the Irish events. She also enjoyed volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul Center and the St. Mary of the Assumption Parish Food Bank. She is survived by her husband, Paul; daughter, Jean (David) Wallgren; grandchildren, Madison, 11, Mason, 9, and Sarah, 6, of Salt Lake City; sisters, Doris Burke and Monica Flynn of Dublin, Ireland; and numerous nieces and nephews of both Ireland and the United States. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Committal of her ashes was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
