Martha Gallegos

SALT LAKE CITY — Martha Gallegos, 75, passed away Nov. 5, 2014 after a short fight with cancer. 

Gallegos was born on Jan. 1, 1939 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Lenardo Hernandez and Guadalupe Hariagua.  She married Eliasime Gallegos on June 20, 1959. She owned Martha’s Beauty Shop and became a U.S. citizen in 1976. She was a lifelong member of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church and liked to go to the Midvale Senior Center.

Gallegos is survived by husband Eliasime; sons Eddie and Ricky (Cheri); and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Freddie, her parents, and an uncle and aunt.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church.
