She grew up in a large and happy Italian family of her parents and eight brothers Frank, Sam, Pete, Joe, Tony, Buddy, Charlie and Albert. Her sister Marietta passed away at 11 months old.

She married Charles James Bertolina on April 4, 1948 in Kenilworth. They made their home in Salt Lake City. She was an active member of the Italian American Civic League, the Catholic Woman’s League and the Cathedral Altar Society/Women’s Guild. She worked at Judge Memorial Catholic High School in the cafeteria and also cooked for the Oblate priests who taught at Judge.

She loved working in her garden, cooking and crocheting. She ran the coffee hour after Mass at the cathedral. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, all her brothers and sisters-in-law, her brother-in-law John, her in-laws and grandsons Billy and Craig Rodby. She is survived by her daughters Roxana Bertolina, Salt Lake City and Margaret Baker, Holcomb, Kansas; her granddaughter Erica Rodby; great-grandsons Anthony, Alex and Alijah all of Holcomb, Kansas; and countless nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank her caregivers from Home Instead, especially Sue, Tracy, Shona, Maria, Lori, Sara, Hortensia, Dannette and all the staff who took such good care of her. Also the staff of Elevations Hospice, especially Liz, Monica, Sonya, Adriana and Lexie. We are so grateful for the loving care.
