MAGNA — Mary Martinez, 79, died July 10, surrounded by her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Magna. Martinez was born Oct. 21, 1926, in Blanco, N.M., to Alfredo and Ursulita Manzanarez Vallejos. She married Roberto A. Martinez, March 28, 1946, in Blanco, N.M. She sang with the Parish Hispanic Choir both in New Mexico and Magna. She is survived by her husband, Roberto; children, Jimmy (Ruby), Jose (Yolanda), Robert, Johnny Ray, Kathy (Tom) Archuleta, and Michael; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grand children; one great-great-grandchild; six brothers; four sisters; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Magna. Committal was in Pleasant Green Cemetery.
