SALT LAKE CITY — Mary P. Williams died Sept. 6. Williams was born in Bainbridge Island, Wash., to Gustav and Alice Pederson. She was raised in Seattle, but lived in Salt Lake City for more than 40 years. She married Philip Williams, Jr., on Valentine’s Day in 1943. He preceded her in death. She and was a devoted homemaker for more than 60 years. She served on the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), was a volunteer at CHRISTUS St. Joseph Villa and St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen. She helped with the Girl Scouts, was involved with the St. Ann Altar Society, and the Legion of Mary. She is survived by her five daughters, Susan (Bobby) Scannapieco, Sharon Wehan, Mary Lou (Marty) Greenwald, Melanie (Mike) Fake, and Natalie and Joanne (Bart) Mills; 10 grandchildren, Mike and Matthew Fake, Natalie and Kimberly Greenwald; Brian and Katie Scannapieco; and Mitchell, Connor, Madison, and Charles Mills. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
