OGDEN — Paralee McKay Junk, 95, passed away March 15, 2011. She was born on Oct. 12, 1915, the sixth of seven children, to William Hugh McKay and Beulah Profitt McKay, on an 800-acre farm in Locust Bayou, Ark. Her mother died when she was 12 and her father died three years later. She lived with her brother and his wife until she graduated high school as class valedictorian. She married Robert Junk in 1940 in Washington D.C. She was a member of St. James Parish and was a past president of the Reserve Officers Wives Club. She us survived by a son, Robert John McKay Junk Jr. (Marlis); and two daughters, Theresa Nattress (Joe); and Rosemary Malan; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Robert, and her sons Thomas Joseph Junk and James McKay Junk predeceased her. A funeral was held at St. James Catholic Church in Ogden.
