Service Honors! Msgr. Rudolph Daz, pastor of Saint Olaf Parish in Bountiful, and Msgr. Lawrence P. Sweeney, a retired priest of the Diocese of Salt Lake City who resides at CHRISTUS St. Joseph Villa, will celebrate the 57th anniversary of their ordination to the priesthood on Jan. 24. Father Vincent Govorchin, a retired Diocese of Salt Lake City priest now living in California, will celebrate the 56th anniversary of his ordination on Jan. 30. Father Jerome (Kyu Take) Kim, in residence at Saint Ambrose Parish and chaplain of the University of Utah’s Primary Children’s Medical Center, will celebrate the 19th anniversary of his ordination on Jan. 28. Coming to an End! Monsignor J. Terrence Fitzgerald, vicar general of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, has announced that, because he will be turning 75 this summer, he intends to retire from diocesan pastoral administration on June 3.
