Ron and Sara White, and John Curtice, parishioners of Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, just returned from a historical tour to Ireland, including a trip to Belfast, with their pastor, Father Patrick Carley. Jay Iverson and Karen Popish, daughter of Linda and Bob Popish of Blessed Sacrament Parish, will be married Sept.. 6, 2010. The parish prayed for Karen after she was severely injured in a vehicle accident two years ago. Happy birthday, Maureen Sparks, a longtime parishioner at St. Joseph the Worker. Love, your husband Steve and your daughters Kerri, Jenn and Stephanie.

Twenty Members of YAB, (youth ministry) at St. John the Baptist Parish spent a week on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. They spent the week painting houses, hosting a kids camp and tutoring children. Last year the Youth Ministry went to Crow Indian Reservation in Montana.Ryan Ingle, a parishioner at Saint Catherine of Siena/Catholic Newman Center, has spent the past four summers fighting fires for the Bureau of Land Management. This past summer he was a Type 5 incident commander and in charge of a 10-person crew that fought smaller fires. Upon his return to the Newman Center he began his first year as a student intern. It’s a girl! Mary Brock, parishioner and usher at St. Joseph the Worker, gave birth to her first child, Cassidy Grace. Ed and Mary Ulibarri, of Saint Ann Parish, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept.. 3, 1960.

Directors of Religious Education from throughout the Diocese of Salt Lake City shared creative ways to teach young people about vocations during the annual DRE meeting Aug.. 7 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
