Bonnell, pastor of Saint Rose of Lima Parish, will celebrate his 51st anniversary on May 28; Father Samuel R. Dinsdale, pastor of Saint Marguerite Parish, will celebrate his eighth anniversary on May 29; Father Patrick H. Elliott, pastor of Holy Family Parish, will celebrate his 11th anniversary on May 19; Monsignor J. Terrence Fitzgerald, vicar general and vicar for clergy of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, will celebrate his 51st anniversary on May 12; Father Dominic Thuy Dang Ha, pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, will celebrate his 27th anniversary on May 11; Father Stanislaw Herba, pastor of Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish and Saint Lawrence mission, will celebrate his 47th anniversary on May 17; Father Oscar A. Martinez, parochial vicar of Christ the King Parish, will celebrate his fifth anniversary on May 18; Father Omar Ontiveros, pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, will celebrate his fifth anniversary on May 18; Monsignor Francis B. Pellegrino will celebrate the 60th anniversary of his priestly ordination May 13, at St. John the Evangelist in Carmichael, Calif., where he is now living; Father Oscar M. Picos, pastor of Saint George Parish, will celebrate his fifth anniversary on May 18; Father Jose G. Rausseo, parochial vicar of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, will celebrate his fourth anniversary on May 31; Father J.J. Schwall, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, will celebrate his fifth anniversary on May 18; Monsignor Robert R. Servatius, pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish, will celebrate his 47th anniversary on May 23; and Father Richard T. Sherman, pastor of Saint Elizabeth Parish, will celebrate his 11th anniversary on May 19. Written From the Heart! Rylee Jarvis, a seventh-grader at Saint Francis Xavier Regional School, was awarded a certificate of recognition for a winning essay of My Favorite Teacher Contest sponsored by Barnes & Noble. Jeremy Black, community relations specialist for Barnes & Noble, held an in-store event to recognize Jarvis for an outstanding write-up honoring her favorite teacher, Vicky Simpson, for her creativity, kindness and her "strong passion toward her job as an educator." Both Rylee and Simpson were given gifts bags consisting of books and teaching materials. Simpson will donate her gift bag to St. Francis School.
