Prayers for the Dead

During the month of November, when the Catholic Church gives special honor to those who have gone before marked with the sign of faith, the Cathedral of the Madeleine parishioners may place the names of the dear departed at the side altar, in remembrance and as a request for prayers. Other parishes in the Diocese of Salt Lake City have similar traditions.
