Richard “Rick” Kevin Galster was born on September 11, 1956 in El Paso, Texas to William A. and Rita P. Galster. Sadly, he lost his almost yearlong valiant battle on December 5, 2021 in Salt Lake City. He spent his formative years in Fairbanks, Alaska, where he spent much time hunting and fishing with his family. He followed his family to Salt Lake City in December 1977. Married the love of his life, Kay Greer Berensen, on May 23, 1998 in Magna. He had one son, William, whom he loved very much. He was a wonderful and supporting husband, father and teacher and he loved being a dad.

He spent many years selling auto parts in the Salt Lake Valley and had many customers following him for his knowledge and helpfulness.

He was well known for his laughter and great sense of humor, and will be missed by many.

Survived by his mother Rita, wife Kay and son William. Also survived by his siblings Chris (Leo) Evans, David (Cindy) Galster, Margie ((Matt) Fish and Pat (Dawn) Galster; along with many nieces and nephews and two great-nieces. Also his Aunt Arlene and many cousins.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Salt Lake City. Arrangements entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor.
