SALT LAKE CITY — Rita Sally Burquea, 57, died July 5. Burquez was born Aug. 27, 1951, in Salt Lake City to Eloy and Eufelia Herrera. She enjoyed spending time with her children and signing "You are my Sunshine," with all her grandchildren, and loved to take trips to Wendover with her sisters. Even though she could not talk back, we knew exactly what she was saying. She is survived by her husband, Antonio Burquez; children, Tammy (Oscar) Samaniego, Carlos (Mindy) Martinez, Ritz (Emmanuel) Ramirez, Faith and Daisy Burquez; 13 brothers and sisters; 15 grandchildren, and her dog, Juanito. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
