Robert Joseph Tabish

SALT LAKE CITY — Robert Joseph Tabish, 42, died Aug. 12 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tabish was born Aug. 22, 1967 to Norman and Barbara Tabish. He graduated from South High School and Salt Lake Community College, and obtained certification in mechanics. He worked for numerous mechanic shops and then for Sandy City for 16 years where he was a crew leader.

He married Ginny Marcelis on June 1, 2001. They had one son and enjoyed life to the fullest. They enjoyed camping and off-road riding in his dune buggy and on his motorcycles. He won many motorcycle racing trophies. He also enjoyed building dune buggies, one of which was featured in Sand Sport Magazine. He could fix anything from plumbing to electrical and was a great handyman.

He is survived by his wife, Ginny; son Tyler; father Norman; sisters Karen (Pete) Black and Janet (Steve) Raineri; brother Ken; and nine nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Patrick Catholic Church.
