Robert Kolhepp
1927 ~ 2025
Robert Kolhepp, age 97, passed away at home with his family by his side on June 26, 2025. Robert was born in Malone, New York in December 1927 to parents James and Louise Kolhepp. He married Grace (Butch) in 1947 and was with his loving wife for 77 years.
Robert loved his woodworking projects and was a credit to his craft. He enjoyed bowling and camping, and especially fishing. He was a parishioner of Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, where he volunteered at the soup kitchen, and assisted with the senior luncheons and annual festival.
Dad was a WWII Navy veteran and spent time telling stories of his time on the ship. Dad came from a large family of seven kids, and he was always happy to share stories of his youth and family. He moved to Utah in 1985 when he transferred from Rome Cable (in New York) for a position in Utah as a manager until he retired. Dad worked hard and always put his wife and family first; he loved his family very much and would do anything for them. He will be missed greatly by his family and all who knew him.
Robert is survived by his five children Susan (Pugh), Patricia Kolhepp, Kathy (Charney), James Kolhepp and Lynn Kolhepp. He had three grandchildren Kelley, Nicholas and Christopher; and six great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Christian, Claire, Jameson, Cora and Rowen.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Grace, brothers Earl, Wallace, Kip, Oran and Norman and his sister Evelyn.
Robert was laid to rest on July 1, 2025 at Riverton Cemetery, where a small gathering of family attended to say goodbye and wish him well on his next journey. We know he will be happy to be back with mom and to reunite with all his siblings.
Until we meet again, Dad, we love you and miss you every day.
