LOGAN — Ronald Stanley Shaw passed away Aug. 30, 2012, from lymphatic leukemia and lymphoma. Shaw was born May 21, 1945 in Philadelphia, Penn., to Elmer and Vera Shaw. He attended Cardinal Dougherty Catholic School and went into the Army, serving as both military police as well as a lieutenant. He married Lisa Salisbury, from whom he later separated. He later met Cathy Kogianes. Shaw volunteered for 20 years working with hospice patients, at the Ogden soup kitchen and Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church as well as for NPR. Shaw is survived by Cathy Kogianes; daughter Jessica; son-in-law J.R. Hoggan, grandson; ex-wife Lisa Shaw (Frank); brothers Gary (Amanda, Ashley), Glenn (Deb), and sister Arleen (Bill, Jon Rogers). He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
