SALT LAKE CITY — Ruth Sudar, 91, died Sept. 30. She was a member of St. Ambrose Parish. Sudar was born Aug. 14, 1915, in Valentine, Neb., to Martin F. and Mary Agnes White Christensen. She married Frank Sudar Dec. 30, 1946. He preceded her in death June 18, 1972. Sudar graduated from the nursing program at Children’s Hospital in Denver in the 1940s, and continued working as a registered nurse at St. Mark’s Hospital, Salt Lake City, until she was 73. She was a member of H2U, the Book Club, and the 49ers Club of St. Ambrose. She is survived by her three children, Diane (Louis) Higgins, Karen (Wayne) Giacomini, and Gary (Wendy) Sudar; 12 grandchildren, Alison, Jennifer, Jonathon (Christina), Dominique (Tyler), Alicia, Emily, Michael, Saturday (David), Noelle (Barry), Misty, Giana (David), and Lena (Sean); and a great-grandson, Calvin. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Committal was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Littleton, Colo.
