The Intermountain Catholic asked the Diocese of Salt Lake City’s seminarians about their summer ministry. Their responses follow.
Landon Quintana, Mount Angel Seminary
As the Diocese’s newest seminarian, I am working diligently and praying fervently during what is called the propaedeutic year. This summer has been a time for me to prepare for the journey ahead and get acquainted with seminary life. My days have been filled with the sacraments, prayer, classes and instruction on how to adjust to seminary life. We went on a hike and saw several waterfalls. I pray with the monks from the abbey at least once a day, and it is so spiritually uplifting to be in the presence of such holy men. I am honored to represent the Diocese of Salt Lake City.
