May 9, 1997 ~ June 5, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shelley Jean Allen-Kallas, born on May 9, 1997, in Utah and who left this world too soon on June 5, 2025. A beloved daughter, sister, mother and friend, Shelley’s vibrant spirit and compassionate heart touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Raised by her grandparents Cameron and Rosanne Kallas, in Bluffdale, Shelley embraced her Catholic upbringing and attended Catholic school at Saint John the Baptist. Her deep faith and connection to ancient traditions shaped her life, and her love for God and helping others was evident in everything she did.
Shelley was a free spirit with a passion for music, dancing and photography – her love for capturing life’s moments was matched only by her love for the ocean and adventure. As an entrepreneur with a hustler’s mentality, she believed that what you give would come back to you.
Shelley was both stubborn and fiercely loyal, with a heart of gold. She embraced life’s challenges with relentless determination, never shying away from exploring the unknown. Her family shared that she had a tongue like lightning and a tough exterior that belied her soft heart. Shelley trusted easily and loved deeply, often bringing her family together, no matter how broken it was. She stood up for those she loved without fear, creating a strong bond that held them together through thick and thin.
Shelley is survived by her father David Allen and her mother Dustin Kallas. She was lovingly raised by her grandparents, the late Rosanne Kallas and the late Cameron Kallas. She shared a deep bond with her sisters Breanna Kallas and Falecia Allen, and remembered her late brother Joshua Allen. As a devoted mother, Shelley cherished her three children – Anastasia, Dakota and Joshua – who were her pride and joy. She will also be remembered for her love for her partner Nicolas Groom, who predeceased her. And Aj Jimenez who also was her saving grace and partner.
Her family recalls her passion for adventure and how she always saw the light in the darkness. They celebrate her laughter, determination and unwavering positivity, even in the face of adversity.
A funeral Mass was celebrated June 1, 2023 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Draper.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her sister Breanna’s Venmo to allow for Shelley’s burial here in Utah.
