Sister Ann Dolores (Marilyn) Kelly

Salt lake city — Sister Ann Dolores, 91, passed away July 25, 2014.
Sister Ann was born Jan. 8, 1923 to Harry and Ethel Doheny in Fort Shaw, Mont. She graduated from Holy Cross Hospital School of Nursing in 1945, and married Kenneth Patrick Kelly on Nov. 29, 1947. She worked as a nurse in hospitals and in private duty. She attended Sacred Heart Parish and then Saint Ann Parish. 
In the summer of 1981 she went to Thailand as a medical missionary with Catholic Relief Services. She was there for a year, and spent her two-week vacation working with Blessed Mother Teresa in Kolkata, India. A period of discernment followed, and she entered the Carmelite order on May 10, 1987, with Solemn Profession of Vows on May 6, 1989.
Sister Ann was preceded in death by her parents; step-father George Haley;  siblings Marguerite, Roberta, Dennis (Joyce), William, Lucile Archer, Joan Eklund (Ray), Raymond, and Carol Cerul; brothers-in law Ted Slaymaker and Woody Seabaugh, and her son-in-law, Dale Hood. 
Sister Ann is survived by sisters Noreen Slaymaker and Anne Seabaugh; children Kathleen Hood McMahon (Tom), Dennis (Mike), Joseph, Christine, Thomas (Karla) and John (Shelly), 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles, O.C.D.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Joseph’s Chapel.
