Sr. Cecilia honored

During a June 12 luncheon at Saint Olaf Catholic Church in Bountiful, the parish’s Ladies of Charity presented Daughter of Charity Sister Cecilia Van Zandt (right) with a plaque thanking her for her many years of membership and support. She is shown with Bobbi Earl, past Ladies of Charity president, and Helen Langdan, a former student. At the luncheon, Sr. Cecilia greeted friends she hadn’t seen in a long time; “they have impacted my experiences in all the places I’ve been assigned,” said Sr. Cecilia, who also taught at St. Olaf School as well as at J.E. Cosgriff Memorial School in Salt Lake City and at Notre Dame de Lourdes School in Price. Langdan, who had Sr. Cecilia as a fifth-grade teacher, said among her many wonderful experiences such as working at the White House, she has never forgotten her roots at St. Olaf and the education and inspiration she received from Sr. Cecilia.
