Saint Joseph Catholic High School has renamed the press box at its athletic field the Father Cummins Victory Tower in honor of Father Charles Cummins, who has served in the diocese for 50 years. They also have established a Fr. Cummins scholarship fund. Shown at the Oct. 3 homecoming game, when the presentation was made, is Fr. Cummins (right) with Principal Clay Jones, who said that “throughout the decades of devotion” the priest “has been a pillar for the school faith community, celebrating Mass, marrying alumni, ... baptizing their children – generations of children and grandchildren – teaching, coaching athletic teams, driving the school bus and inspiring us with his humility with an unwavering example.”IC photo/Marie Mischel
