As our nation pauses this week to give thanks, I wish to offer a special prayer of gratitude for all of you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, who comprise this beautiful diocese of Salt Lake City. I am blessed to be your bishop and your brother, you who have been given to me from the Good Shepherd himself and who never leaves his flock untended. Together we journey in faith as we share our gifts of time, talent and treasure for the good of this local Church and the service of our neighbor. Our call to embrace Stewardship as a way of life is a welcome reminder of all that God has given us, precious gifts that increase the more we share them. I hope that you are able to celebrate this special holiday with family and friends who reflect God’s love for you and for his Church. And I pray that the Lord of the Banquet of Life will bless your Thanksgiving tables with laughter, love and peace. God bless you all.
