The Utah Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons held a 5K peace walk April 30 in support of a world free of nuclear weapons. The walk began at the Unitarian Church and proceeded to several churches of various denominations, including Saint Catherine of Siena Newman Center and the Cathedral of the Madeleine. The Governor’s Mansion also was included on the route. Among the participants were Dee Rowland, who just retired at the government liaison for the Diocese of Salt Lake City; Maxine Kaiser, retired director of liturgy for the diocese; and parishioners from St. Ambrose and the Newman Center.
