Women's Retreat in Vernal

On Oct. 1, women gathered at Saint James Catholic Church in Vernal for a day of laughter and inspiration. Maria Devereux and Jeanne Lachowski led the retreat, which incorporated a variety of activities as well as talks based on Scripture.  Music, laughter and heart-felt stories would fill the room at times as participants shared personal stories with each other. The themes of forgiveness of ourselves as well as others, laughter and joy as a gift from God, and unconditional love were discussed, as blessings as well as challenges in daily life. Wonderful food was served as ladies got to know each other in a deeper way.
