ZAP grant benefits Cathedral's arts programs

The Cathedral of the Madeleine’s Arts and Humanities program received a grant from the Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks Program. The Cathedral has received a similar grant for several years; it helps fund the annual Madeleine Festival of the Arts and Humanities, which occurs during the Easter season, and the fall’s Eccles Organ Festival (shown is Andrus Madsen in 2012.) “Because of the ZAP grant and donations we are able to offer these events without cost to those who come to enjoy the arts,” said Father Martin Diaz, pastor of the Cathedral of the Madeleine. “The Madeleine Arts Festival and the Eccles Organ Festival are opportunities for the Cathedral community to sponsor events that are religious and artistic. The beauty of music, art and poetry reflect the beauty of God at work in the world.”
