Despite frigid temperatures hovering near 10 degrees and two feet of snow on the ground, more than 700 people from Blanding, Monticello and surrounding communities in southeastern Utah attended an open house that showcased the new St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monticello on Jan. 11.

El movimiento de la ‘muerte con Dignidad’ explota esos momentos de vulnerabilidad insistiendo que uno puede llevar a su ser querido que sufre a una dignidad dándole muerte a su vida. Como la Conferencia de obispos Católicos de los Estados unidos nos dice “la verdadera compasión nos lleva a compartir el sufrimiento; no mata a la persona cuyo sufrimiento no sabemos sobrellevar”.

The Next Generation Science Standards, which a handful of the 16 schools already have implemented and the others will begin next school year, are “a way to help students become better critical thinkers” by delving deeper into core subjects, said Mark Longe, superintendent of Utah Catholic schools.
