SALT LAKE CITY — Debbie Adams and Carol Ruddell represent Utah and the Diocese of Salt Lake City on the National Catholic Partnership on Disability (NCPD) board. Adams will complete her six-year term in November and Ruddell started her three-year term in May.

SALT LAKE CITY — Jolina Warfield always dreamed of parachuting to experience what it would be like to fly like a bird and see everything below. So on Sept. 18, for her birthday, her children and grandchildren gave her the opportunity to do just that through the Ogden Sky Diving Center.

Organizaciones Católicas Hispanas se reúnen para discernir futuro, fomentar la colaboración y fortalecer estructuras

WASHINGTON (USCCB) — Convocados por el Subcomité de Obispos para Asuntos Hispanos de la Conferencia episcopal estadounidense, el liderazgo de quince organizaciones católicas hispanas nacionales y regionales se reunieron en el Mexican American Catholic College (MACC) en San Antonio, Texas, los días 26 a 28 de septiembre con el propósito de identificar al liderazgo emergente así como fomentar la colaboración entre organizaciones y reforzar las estructuras existentes, especialmente aquellas que han sido particularmente útiles al crecimiento y desarrollo del ministerio hispano en el país. En la reunión se puso un énfasis especial en la necesidad de ayudar a que estas organizaciones logren la estabilidad financiera, mejoren su capacidad interna y tengan un desarrollo organizativo.

Celebrating the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi

At the beginning of Religious Education classes at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 5th-grade catechist Rocky Conner asked his students if they had any suggestions for class activities. One student, Nicholas Siddoway, asked if they could bring their pets to class. This suggestion was brought to the attention of Msgr. Robert Servatius, pastor, and he agreed to a pet blessing.
