Sacred Heart of Jesus and Healing Mass — Friday, May 3, 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 506 24th St., Ogden. Following Mass, you are invited to join the Promoters for lunch and a meeting.

The Sacrament of Confirmation — for adult Catholics (no one younger than 18) will be celebrated on Saturday, May 4 and Saturday, June 1 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. Both Masses will be at 1 p.m. This celebration is for adults who are seeking the Sacrament of Confirmation. The opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time will also be celebrated for those adult Catholics seeking to complete their Christian initiation. Information on classes is available through your parish.

Irish Night With The Poets — Saturday, May 4 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 670 South 1100 East, SLC. Doors open at 7 p.m.; the reading begins at 7:30 p.m. Free, but must be a member of the Hiberian Society; applications accepted at the door.

First Saturday Mass — Saturday, May 4 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9800 South 1700 East, Sandy. 9 a.m. Mass followed by rosary and a speaker. All are welcome.

Holy Hour — Sunday, May 5, 4 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns. Exposition, the rosary, meditation, a short homily, the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction.

Madeleine Festival Concert — Sunday, May 12, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. The Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine and the Choristers of the Madeleine Choir School will perform Gerald Finzi’s “Magnificat” and Benjamin Britten’s “St. Nicholas.” Free, but complimentary passes required. Eccles Organ Festival — May 17, 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Open Gallery Night: opportunity for organ enthusiasts of every age to explore and play the cathedral’s Eccles Memorial Organ. Patriotic Rosary — Members of St. George Catholic Parish pray a patriotic rosary twice a month using booklets purchased from Caritas of Birmingham. St. George invites   all parishes in the Diocese of Salt Lake City to pray the patriotic rosary.

The Office of Faith Formation is accepting applications for men and women who are interested in becoming certified lay ecclesial ministers for the Diocese of Salt Lake City.
