40-hour devotion for vocations

The Diocese of Salt Lake City began its year-long prayer for vocations in the Cathedral of the Madeleine on Dec. 1. For the next year, each parish will be assigned a week in which to devote 40 hours of prayer made before the Blessed Sacrament in solemn exposition with an emphasis on praying for vocations in the diocese. The schedule for December and January follows. From Dec. 9 at 7 a.m. to Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish; Dec. 14-20, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (Magna); Dec. 21-Jan. 3, none are scheduled during the Christmas holiday; Jan. 4-10, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (Salt Lake City); Jan. 11-17, Sacred Heart Parish; Jan. 18-24, Saint Ambrose Parish; and Jan. 25-31, Saint Ann Parish.
