Advent and Christmas at the Cathedral of the Madeleine

This is my first opportunity to thank, in a public way, the great work of the Cathedral of the Madeleine Choir and the Madeleine Choir School during our holy days of Advent and Christmas. The concerts, prayer services and liturgies at which they sang are still echoing within me. It is difficult to describe to anyone outside the area just how wonderful our choristers are. They bring such beauty and prayerfulness to our celebrations and they deepen our experience of the holy days beyond measure. I am grateful to Mr. Gregory Glenn, Mrs. Melanie Melinka and to the entire school and cathedral staff for all they did to brighten our holy days, drawing us more deeply into the wonderful mysteries we so recently celebrated. While I am at it, I also want to thank Monsignor Joseph Mayo, Father Eleazar Silva, Arlie Llenares and the whole cathedral staff for work above and beyond the call of duty. We are truly blessed to have such splendid people who do so much to make our liturgies rich and meaningful. My thanks to one and all!
