First Saturday Devotion — Saturday, Jan. 6, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9800 South 1700 East, Sandy, beginning with a 9 a.m. Mass, followed by a rosary and potluck. A guest speaker will address the topic “Why We Need Saints.” Free; all are welcome.

First Sunday Filipino Mass — Jan. 7, 3:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 670 South 1100 East, SLC. Fr. Paulraj Rayappa will be the celebrant; hosted by Misang Bayan Filipino Community.

Suicide Prevention Presentation— Wednesday, Jan. 10, 7 p.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 4914 South 2200 West, Taylorsville. Carol Ruddell, administrator of Crisis & Suicide Prevention Programs Utah, will speak on how to recognize the risks and warning signs of suicide.  

Sacred Heart of Jesus and Healing Mass — Friday, Jan. 12, 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 506 24th St., Ogden. Following Mass, participants are invited to join the Promotors for lunch and a meeting.

Eccles Organ Festival — Sunday, Jan. 14, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Concert à la Carte with Tabernacle organists Richard Elliott and Andrew Unsworth and Cathedral Organist Gabriele Terrone. Free and open to the public.

Mass for the Unborn — Friday, Jan. 19, 6 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Bishop Oscar A. Solis will preside. A Ceremony of Light with the Knights of Columbus will be held following the Mass.

March for Life — Hosted by Pro-Life Utah. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Utah State Capitol. There will be a rosary at 11 a.m. prior to the march.

Bilingual Rosary for Life — Sunday, Jan. 21, 2 p.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 275 U St. SLC

Eccles Organ Festival — Sunday, Jan. 27, 2 p.m.  at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. The Young Person’s Guide to the Organ: an interactive presentation with The Madeleine Choir School choristers.

Deaconate Formation Class — Candidates are being sought for an upcoming deaconate formation class. Interested married men and their wives as well as interested single men aged 35 to 55 are invited to participate in upcoming inquiry sessions that are scheduled for early 2024. The sessions will be both virtual and in-person, and bi-lingual (English and Spanish). Mass At Our Lady of The Snows — The celebration of the Eucharist on Sundays during the ski season has resumed at Our Lady of the Snows Chapel at Alta. Mass is at 5 p.m. The chapel is located directly across from the Alta Lodge and below the Alta City offices. Sunday Mass will continue through the end of April.

The Diocese of Salt Lake City is invited to shop at the Ladies of Charity of Northern Utah’s Center of Hope Thrift Store on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 74 S. Orchard Drive, North Salt Lake. Donations of gently used, clean and folded clothing also are accepted.
